Eco-Friendly Nohi Kids

040413_NohiKids_01It’s a Zoo! Nohi Kids shows off animal-themed adorables for Spring/Summer.

One Cute Package. Nohi Kids designs high-quality, eco-friendly children’s apparel –the kind of clothes kids never want to take off and durable enough to pass down to the next.

Janel Andersen’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection features brand new animal prints typical of Nohi’s trademark style and color story, made in sizes newborn to 7/8. Mix and match pieces, including bodysuits, tees, leggings, dresses and cardigans, are reasonably priced, too.

What’s a Nohi Kid, anyway? In the Maori language, nohi nohi means, “to be small.” In Japan, Kodomo Nohi -one of the most popular national holidays- is a day to celebrate children. And, in Hawaiian, Nohi means brightly colored and vivid. So, I suppose a Nohi Kid is a bright, vivacious little thing just oozing with personality!

040413_NohiKids_02Nohi uses a combination of certified organic cotton and bamboo fiber, with “a touch of spandex,” and low-impact, water based inks to create comfortable clothes kids love and parents can keep looking great wash after wash.

Nohi Kids’ new zoo print is a whimsical menagerie of elephants, birds, bunnies and giraffes. The zoo print is featured on new reversible jackets and top-selling footless rompers for babies sizes 0-3 months to 12-18 months as well as a short-sleeve tee for boys in kids sizes 2 to 7/8.

040413_NohiKids_03The new collection uses rich purple, persimmon and sky blue hues to complement the artful graphic designs- including a wraparound octopus tee, new horse print dress (available in sash and flutter sleeve styles), and a new “Love” print flutter sleeve dress.

Spring Bounty. A portion of sales is donated to the Caine’s Arcade Imagination Foundation, dedicated to finding and fostering creativity and entrepreneurship in kids.

Spring Summer 2013: TANE Organics

032813_KaylaBird_Scoop Neck Dress & Striped BloomersInspired by the goodness of the Earth…

TANE organics’ Spring Summer 2013 collection is full of freshness, sweet shapes and delicious softness.

032813_KaylaBird_OnePocketTDrawstringShortsTANE organics makes wonderful baby things from the purest, most luxurious natural fibers ever. The comfortable construction and design details are inspired by the shape of the beautiful kimono. “Tane” is a Japanese word that means “seed,” and the color tones in the collection help make the clothing look good enough to eat! The clothes are soft, with simple lines and neat playful details.

Soft ripe oval shapes provide the ease and freedom of movement while the pocket detail reflects the functionality in farming attire. The playful racer back cutout reminds us of warm summer days and the relief in a timeless worker’s tank. Sweet apron-influenced ruffles and shapes echo the humble, authentic delivery of great design.

New Rocky Mountain Design

LamanBlu_1The name means “blue sea,” yet the début line of Colorado-based LamanBlu draws inspiration from the winter landscape.

“This collection was inspired by the frozen surfaces of winter, from the smooth, soft snow blanketing the hillsides, to the positively brilliant snow crystals which sparkle in the moonlight, as brilliantly as any diamond,” says designer Holli Gibson.

Almost makes you crave crisp cool air dusted with snowflakes, doesn’t it?

The Being the Fabulous collection plays against a backdrop of winter white, using silvery pewter and a “baby kiss” pink with aubergine and barberry accents. Frosty, shiny elements of sparkle organza, embroidery, beading, hand printed mica pigments and natural shell buttons decorate Holli’s styles for girls in sizes 2T to 6.

The new line is made from bamboo knit with a touch of Lycra and a bamboo fleece. They “offer a great hand, beautiful rich colors, move with the body and have bacterial resistant qualities,” Holli says. “What more could you want for children’s wear?”

Being environmentally conscious is important for LamanBlu and the new line strives to take eco-fashion for kids to a new level of style, comfort and sophistication.

Holli created LamanBlu to celebrate childhood – and parenthood. Her collection is styled for the parent and child who want something uniquely beautiful, fashionable and comfortable.

Mother and Daughter outfits – how fun is that?

Holli couples an all-American sensibility with European details in LamanBlu, where select styles are also available in adult sizing.
