The Better Baby Bottle has designed a better way to protect kids from the harmful effects of chemical compounds that seep out of plastics into their foods. Founding company Innovative Plasma Technologies (IPT) has baby bottles and sippy cups use a patented Pur Ion Technology that protects your baby from the harmful effects of plastic. The company says no other plastic bottle or sippy cup on the market comes close to having this type of technology.

The Pur Ion surface coating used in the Better Baby Bottle provides a barrier layer between the plastic bottle and the foods that are put inside. Permanently bonded to the inside of the bottle, the patented coating is so thin, it will not change any of the macro properties of the plastic such as flexibility. The coating is odorless, tasteless and does not break.

“As a father, my foremost goal was to develop a safer sippy cup,” says Steve Aldrich, CEO of Auburn, Alabama-based IPT. “The commonly used plastic of baby bottles is harmful to babies and I desperately wanted to create something that would rectify the situation.”

Hundreds of studies document the harmful effects of chemicals migrating from plastics, even Bisphenol A (BPA-free) plastics and its replacement, Bisphenol S (BPS), into our foods and liquids. BPA-free does not mean chemical free. According to Scientific America, “both can disrupt a cell’s normal functioning, which could potentially lead to metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity, asthma, birth defects or even cancer.” The innovative Better Baby Bottle is developed to prevent the leaching of potentially harmful by-products of plastic from moving into the food or liquid inside of the container.

Marketplace tested, The Better Bottle products continue to excel. All products are safe for sterilization in boiling water, in the microwave and on the top rack of the dishwasher. The progressive baby bottle line allows for smooth transition from infant to toddler without having to purchase separate bottle and sippy cup.
